brother hasan,

welcome to the forum.

The story about u'r journey to the hobby is more or less the same for all of us. Infact, all we have learned from our innocence, mistake, lack of knowledge & the dishonest peoples involvement in this bussiness. unfortunately, very rare, u will find, educated & descent peoples who really transfer their experiences to u. Rather, most of them misguide u, right from bigening.

Anyhow, that the past, but i think u r now joined the right forum. U will find here very good peoples; helping each other in every aspect of the hobby apart from few. But even though, those peoples r pointed out by the other members about their unfair deals.

Hope u will enjoy & learn about the hobby.

sorry hasan for late reply, I have a collection of 20 pcocateils, 10 lovebirds, 40-50p budgries (not show birds), 03alexandrines, 02 IRN. want to extend in IRN variety in addition to same varieties of fallow, crest budgries.

Brother, gray chick r expensive in market is a fact. i think that gray parrots breed very difficult & in the year it may breed once & at max,. twice (experts may correct). Secondly, gray breed at the age 03yrs or even more years.

The young birds in the market are wild caught (thats why they are around 18-22k a pair) and r generally aged between 1-2 years. they breed when they aclamitise the environmnet that takes many years to settle.

A breeding pair that have a breeding record in pakistan may cost many time more than the 22k bird (expert know more).

one more thing, becasue chick can be tammed & will be able to talk. tammed & talking gray cost more than 50k per bird (depend upon talking ability). I heard, in karachi, one tailor master do that bussines & sale the gray for more than 100k last season.

I think these may b reason that gray chick is more expensive.
