Hello Shahjahan

Can you elaborate the last three lines in your post

Initially you asked about the size and mentioned the word exhibition

then you have contradicted yourself by saying that their quality is exhibition rather than size

If you have any exhibition lovebirds then do share their pictures

looking forward to hear your reply

regards

Dont worry dear, lets wait for shahjahan's reply on this topic since he is one of the first people to mention exhibition lovebirds here.

I have contacts who keep exhibition cockatiels and exhibition finches so why not let someone share his views on exhibition lovebirds

adios

Updated the post for cobalt but I have no idea of yellow breasted.
Size of these birds are normal. Eye ring family is usually smaller then other lovebird family.
I have seen exhibition lovebirds with one of our fellow bird lover in Islamabad and price difference is 1k.

hello,
i think its not the size its the perfection in mutations and the health and standard in basic birds but the price maybe a little high but not too high !
we normally buy birds of the same species at different rates not uncommon in Pakistani market

For Usaid....please get in touch with someone in Holland/belgium and ask him about exhibition quality lovebirds, why they r called so....and what is average price...Have you ever heard of someone one called Sukhera...if u r less than 30 years old,u may not have heard of him.......He is the pioneer of lovebird mutations in the country. His collection of lovebird mutations in 1980's was more than what others held collectively .....If u ever happen to know him, please ask him about lovebirds.....I heard he is getting back to his first love......lovebirds...............regards

Hello Shahjahan

i got your original reply through private message thats why i didnt pursue this topic further.
I am aware of shows being held in Holland/Belgium for exhibition lovebird and know a guy named Didier Mervilde who is breeding them.I have an idea of exhibition lovebirds and their average prices abroad.

Yes,i am 23 years old as of now and i have not heard of Sukhera however i will definitely pass on your regards if i run across him in the future.
Its good to hear that he is getting back in the hobby

take care

Dear Shahjahan,

As a birdkeeper,i have come across a lot of senior birdkeepers, some being older than my father so its not a new thing for me.I count myself lucky to have birdkeeper friends here who are trustworthy and can be relied upon whenever required.
Same applies to the overseas contacts i have gathered by virtue of keeping exhibition budgies.

Thanks a lot for sharing that you imported your first lovebirds 20 years ago.

I look forward to the day when i will visit your aviary with Faisal in the future

regards
Usaid Ahmed
